La Biblioteca

I have a headache right now,due to slight dehydration and exhaustion. I'm ready to go home. I'm currently in a library staring at the guy in front of me and his computer trying to see what he's up too. Looks like some English assignment involving nouns. Lisa is too the right of me playing free rice, Annie is next to Lisa talking to Leah who is two seats down from me working on her blog. This one guy is on funbrain. Pretty sure funbrain is for those younger than twelve. Another guy looks like he came from the 50s and Mariah is writing a Boring Blog About Dance. I'm still on this senior guy playing on funbrain...like why? There is nothing on there for him. I need some water...

This Generation

The pictures above are prime examples of this generation. Not even prime examples. PERFECT examples of this generation. As a matter of fact, when I googled "this generation", these pictures came up. I can't relate to the first picture because I just don't do things like that. I care about my education. The second picture though I can relate too. As I told you earlier in "Typing and Photography", I am a bit of a Twitter addict. Sometimes I don't tweet but I do see what's going on. I see things I don't want to see the majority of the time. But anyway, sometimes I'm kind of disappointed in my peers. There's a difference between having fun and being stupid. Then again, define fun? I guess over time  fun has evolved into something else because I sure as hell don't know what fun is anymore.

What I'm Thinking About At The Moment

At the moment, I am studying Macbeth. I'm also watching Storage Hunters. Pretty good show. I truly had nothing to blog about so why not share a portion of my thoughts with you? Today I had multiple encounters with stupidity it wasn't even fair. My favorite classes are my last two and other than that I don't really care for the rest. I actually like the academic part of school more than the social part sometimes. People irritate me that much. I'm not antisocial, I just have antisocial moments. Some of us, like myself, don't like to deal with BS in the morning. Like today, this girl decides it's okay for her to not cover her mouth in the hallway when she coughed. Um, do you not see all these other healthy humans not wanting to catch your illness? The worst part was she coughed as I passed by. I felt infested and I immediately stopped breathing and I also sped walk out of that hallway faster than I have ever sped walk before.Other than that and some other crap people put me through, today was really productive. Hopefully the rest of this week will be the same minus the girl who coughed near me.
I really have nothing else to talk about but I need to figure something out so...I guess I could talk about my favorite words. This blog post kind of sucks so I'm giving you the option to stop reading...but anyway, I'm watching Glee and I decided that I wouldn't tell you my favorite words because I don't think you would find it interesting. I would have to go into detail and provide a definition and I kind of don't feel like it...
No but seriously this writer's block has gotten out of hand. Maybe tomorrow I'll think of something. So....

Music Today Versus Music of the Past

My life would not be the same without my iPod. I MUST have music around me at all times or at least a source that provides it, not including the radio. There's only one station that I'm a true fan of and that station is KDAY. KDAY plays older rap music that is much appreciated. Rather than Power 106 who use to play what I thought were good songs. Now I don't know what they are playing. But, that's a whole other thing that I don't feel like getting into.
I pretty much like all genres except country, heavy metal, and that annoying techno or dubstep. Whatever it's called. You can find me chilling to A Tribe Called Quest or Digable Planets. These rap groups aren't your ordinary rap groups. They take jazz beats and just rap this poetic like flow. I can't really describe it because it's that great.
I don't care for new music too much. It's usually because I either don't know what the song is about, the purpose of the song, or what the artist is saying. A lot of rap music nowadays is accused of being degrading to women and are just about cars, money, and drugs. While I cannot agree nor disagree, I can say that I don't have an ear for it. I'm more into old music. Starting from the 60s. My favorite music is 90s rap though. There's something about the 90s era that just captures my best interest. If time travel was possible or ever becomes possible, I would go back to the 90s just because I love the music and style that much.

Typing and Photography

Every now and then I'll go on Facebook and I'm on twitter at least once a day everyday. Sometimes I don't tweet and I never update my status. I just like to see what people are up too and how they're spending their day. Isn't that the point of social networking sites like Facebook? Maybe it's the people I'm friends with or the people I follow but I see some interesting stuff. On twitter, you have a limit of 140 characters. I understand abbreviating some long words but; people take typing to a certain level of unacceptable. You would think people type normally to save characters and they don't. For example, instead of saying "a bag of chips", you see "uh bagg of chipz". Notice that "uh bagg of chipz" calls for more characters than "a bag of chips". There's a difference between creativity and pure ignorance. I'm not sure if the example I gave you is creativity...but, I don't like it.
Another issue I have is with the pictures people post(with confidence). I sometimes wonder if people go through their photo albums and feel the same way about their pictures as they did when they uploaded them. The editing that is done to the photo never fails to amaze me. The effort that is shown is unbelievable and it's all for one picture. ONE picture. Another thing that gets me is the captions that are written about the photo. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some pretty nice pictures with meaningful captions and at the same time I've seen some crappy pictures with crappy captions. If you're going to post a nice picture of yourself and you know it's a nice picture, why would you put something like this in the caption? "I'm so ugly, I hate my face." Um, if you hate your face, why did you put a picture of it on Facebook? I consider that a desperate cry for attention. My favorite part about this whole situation is when people comment on it saying something like: "Your face is fine! You're so pretty."  I guess some people feel obligated to make them feel better by commenting with compliments that I'm sure they don't mean. But you know, whatever.

The Art of Speed Walking

I have a few friends who are jealous of my awesome speed walking. My thing is, embrace it. Let me inspire you with my swift ways so that way you too, will never be late to anything.
  • Step 1: Buy a watch(digital). With a watch on your wrist you know how many seconds or minutes you have left. This is essential because you can time yourself and be aware of how much time you have before the bell rings.
  • Step 2: Dodging the slow ones. Occasionally you encounter the ones who are unable to move with such swiftness. It's all about sharp turns and planning your next few steps before you take them. Be prepared for anything. Someone might cut you off and you must be prepared to get around them without any physical contact. Someone could trip and fall. If you're nice enough you will help them up. If you're in a rush, hop over that person and walk on.
  • Step 3: The last step. Stay focused. Unless someone has something extremely important to say or there is some kind of emergency, you have no reason to stop. There's most likely somebody behind you who has to be somewhere. The last thing they need is to be behind someone who doesn't know where they are going.

The Purpose of My Blog

For my first blog post, I figured I would tell you what I am using my blog for. Through my blog I plan to share my daily experiences with you. A few of my experiences include: people who don't know how to walk in a hallway, getting chased by dogs, and avoiding awkward conversation. There's plenty more. I just spared you from reading a super long paragraph.
